Carrie Bickmore has paid tribute to Johnny Ruffo after he died of brain cancer at age 35 on November 10.
The TV star, 42, raised an impressive $537,000 for cancer charities by doing the world’s toughest half-marathon, Hobart’s Point to Pinnacle.
She shared a photo of herself completing the challenging walk while wearing a T-shirt with Johnny’s picture.
‘We did it. Thank you. Over $537,000 raised by the wider team. Phenomenal,’ Carrie wrote.

The cause is very close to Carrie as she lost her husband Greg Lange to the disease.
Greg tragically passed away in December 2010 at age 35 from a 10-year battle with brain cancer.
Despite his terminal condition, they married in 2005 when Bickmore was just 25 and had a son, Oliver.

Johnny died peacefully with his family and beloved partner Tahnee by his side at a Sydney hospital, after a long battle with brain cancer.
‘It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny,’ a statement read.
‘Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible Nurses & Doctors.
His family posted to his personal Instagram to announce a memorial service for the Home and Away star will be held in Perth on November 25.
‘A memorial service to celebrate John’s incredible life will be held on November 25 in Perth, WA,’ the message read, adding ‘more details’ will follow.

‘He was a very talented, charming and sometimes cheeky boy. Johnny was very determined and had a strong will. He battled all the way to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give.
‘We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives. Rest easy.’
Johnny was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 after he went to hospital with painful migraines.
In August that year, he was rushed to surgery and had a 7cm brain tumour surgically removed from his frontal lobe, before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Johnny went into remission months after his initial diagnosis in 2017, but revealed in November 2020 the disease had returned.
In August 2022, he confirmed his brain cancer diagnosis was terminal and said he feared how his girlfriend Tahnee would cope once he is gone.
Johnny marked another year of undergoing chemotherapy in December 2022, and revealed he was looking forward to having a break and spending time with family over Christmas.
In March this year, Johnny started another round of chemotherapy and posted a photo of himself undergoing the treatment in hospital with his girlfriend Tahnee by his side.
