Biden believes Israel-Hamas hostage deal is near

During the annual White House turkey pardon, President Biden was pressed by a reporter about the state of negotiations to release hostages taken by Hamas. When asked if he believes a deal is near, the president responded “I believe so.” When asked again if he believes so, Biden responded by crossing his fingers and said, “Yes.” The president made no comment on the timing nor gave any specifics to the progress of negotiations.
